Beware of the Trade Mark Scams!

Business owners need to be vigilant for the various trade mark scams that are in existence, following their filing of trade mark applications.

Frequently, applicants will receive official looking letters of scam companies posing as official bodies, asking for payment of fees. Usually, the letters will accompany invoices which appear to make the whole thing look more genuine.

These invoices can demand fees for extra filing fees, trade mark registrations, renewals, watching or registrations abroad. Under no circumstances is it recommended that you pay these fees as they are inevitably a scam.

If you receive any demands for payments of fees, or emails from companies in relation to your trade mark application, please do contact us, so that we can advise you and answer any questions that you may have.
