Paris Smith, Solicitors based in Southampton have just renewed their sponsorship of Mayflower Theatre. The sponsorship which goes back over the last 23 years is, the firm believes, probably the longest Arts sponsorship in the region.

Senior Partner Nick Vaughan said “Our continuing business relationship with Mayflower Theatre goes back a very long way. We believe in the power of the Arts to engage the community and give something back. Also, it shows how important we feel this regional theatre is to both the City of Southampton and our firm. All our staff and their families have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of our partnership.”

This wonderful Theatre which is still independent and run by a charitable trust brings the opportunity for everyone to attend West End quality productions that are usually only available in London. Mayflower Theatre is much more than a major events venue in the region for theatre. It has its own restaurant, an education programme and seating for 2300 with disabled access. The Theatre attracts over half a million visitors a year and our partners and staff are proud to be associated with this award winning Theatre.

Michael Ockwell, Chief Executive said, “The partnership between Paris Smith and Mayflower Theatre is so important to us. As the region’s premier Theatre we feel it important to associate with businesses who are similarly invested in the Region. The length of our association shows the value Paris Smith put on supporting the Arts locally. The relationship is strengthened by the variety of initiatives we have developed together and I look forward to working with Nick and his team over the coming years.”
