New ACAS Guides
ACAS have published three new best practice guides for businesses. The guides focus on the following topics:-
(1) Equality and Discrimination: Understand the basics
(2) Prevent Discrimination: support equality
(3) Discrimination: What to do if it happens

To effectively stay within the law, promote equality and prevent discrimination, an employer should have a policy in place so all employees know what is acceptable and expected of them as individuals and as part of the organisation. These are non-statutory guides but you may decide to review your policies in line with some of these best practices.
