Paris Smith appoints former Judge Peter Ralls QC

Hampshire based law firm Paris Smith have appointed former Judge Peter Ralls QC in their growing Dispute Resolution team.

Peter, previously of 29 Bedford Row, and Outer Temple Chambers, has lived in Hampshire for the last 10 years, and specialises in company and commercial law, shareholder disputes, minority shareholder actions and a wide range of business orientated litigation. He started with the firm on 2nd September 2019.

On his joining Paris Smith, Peter said: “Joining a firm with the established reputation that Paris Smith has is very reassuring. I am taking the unusual step of starting a new career to build on my earlier successes. This is a very exciting opportunity. I am returning to practicing as a solicitor which I have done previously. My main aim is to enjoy the work I do and to provide quality help and advice. After lots of research into various firms in the South, I felt Paris Smith was a great fit, and I am delighted to be here to help in all sorts of ways, particularly in commercial law which is my main specialism.”

Also in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department, Managing Partner and accredited Mediator Peter Taylor said: “It is core to Paris Smith’s purpose as a firm that in enabling our clients to reach their goals and overcome challenges which they face, they have access to first rate advice and representation. We are delighted Peter has decided to join us in preference to the numerous other opportunities he was offered. He enhances the breadth and depth of expertise in the firm, particularly in the area of commercial litigation and the resolution of both commercial and business disputes. Peter offers our clients a wealth of commercial experience both as Queen’s Counsel and as a civil Judge.”
