The Southampton Venus Awards 2016
This year’s Southampton Venus Awards has been a string of exciting events which came to a glamorous finale at the awards ceremony and gala dinner on Friday 15th April.
Over 340 guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner, musical entertainment from the female trio Cordelectra, and the mesmerising works of close-up magician Colin Phillips. The evening was hosted by Shelley Jory-Leigh, Hampshire’s own British Power Boat Champion and well-established business woman.
bandv were extremely proud to sponsor the 2016 Southampton Venus Awards PR & Marketing category. The nominees for this award were all extremely hard working and deserving ladies who truly pave the way for their fellow female marketers. However, the bandv judging panel had the tough decision of narrowing the nominees down to three finalists; these were Mo Morgan, Head of Group Marketing at Lakesmere Building Envelope Specialists; Jan Halliday, Director of Marketing and Communications at Southampton Airport; and Helen Freeston, Head of Marketing at Paris Smith LLP.
All three women looked stunning at Friday’s ceremony at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Though all three ladies were winners in our eyes, there could only be one! Mo Morgan, Sales & Marketing Manager from Lakesmere was the deserving winner to take home the 2016 Southampton Venus Award for Marketing & PR. bandv’s Managing Director Colin Breckenridge was thrilled to present Mo with her award; and on behalf of the whole bandv team, we would like to congratulate Mo as well as all of the nominees.
