We are looking for a talented and passionate solicitor to join our exciting Property & Planning department based in our Southampton office. With 5 to 10 years experience, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload and be focussed on delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients. The right candidate will demonstrate high levels of accuracy, knowledge of Firms and Departmental needs and procedures, ensuring deadlines are met.

Recognised as an “outstanding property team” and a leader in the south of England, our property lawyers have a well-earned reputation for providing sound and pragmatic legal advice across all property matters.

This is a generalist role however, experience and an interest in development work is desirable. The successful candidate will work for a range of clients including institutions, national businesses, private investors developers and private land owners carrying out a range of high quality work.

The Candidate

  • 5-10 years PQE
  • Ability to negotiate effectively
  • Knowledge of property development or retail preferred, but not essential
  • Ensure the highest level of client care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A sense of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Good IT skills

The Commercial Property & Planning department is made up of 15 partners, 3 senior associates, 6 associates, 12 solicitors, 2 planning consultants, 11 paralegals, 1 legal executive, 2 legal assistants, 2 trainee solicitors and 4 administrative assistants.
