Disciplinary and grievance issues are governed by process. However, there are too many examples of employers failing to follow their own processes or as a minimum, the ACAS Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures. With the scope to increase any Tribunal award by up to 25% for failure to do so, it is key that managers ensure they know how and why they must get these things right.The aim of the training session is to go through the processes in depth focusing on the key elements of the investigation and disciplinary meetings. We will also cover the tricky issues of pre-termination and ‘without prejudice’ discussions.
