Paris Smith & Bank of England Conference : “UK Economic Overview”
Our Finance & Real Estate Finance teams will be joined by our guest speaker Andrew Holder – Agent for Central Southern England at the Bank of England. The Agents act as “eyes, ears and voice” of the Bank of England in the regions, collecting information about trends and developments across the country, and explaining the Bank’s views and policy decisions to local businesses and other groups. Andrew, who has been the Bank’s Agent for South Central England since December 2015, will discuss recent developments in the UK economy and the Monetary Policy Committee’s forecasts for economic growth and inflation. He’ll explain what that is expected to mean for interest rates, and answer questions on that or other economic topics.
There will be a Q&A session after the presentation, followed by drinks and canapés in the Stapleton-Hames Suite.
