Bev has over 10 years experience in planning within both the public and private sectors, spanning urban and rural contexts.
Through working in development management, Bev has particular experience of planning in rural areas, including National Parks, and sensitive landscapes, as well as the historic environment.
Bev also has experience of rural affordable and community led housing, working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, including parish councils, community groups and Local Planning Authorities. Bev has recently been accredited as a Community Led Housing Advisor by Community Led Homes.
Through this work, Bev has experience of carrying out public consultations and gathering evidence to support development proposals, including through housing need surveys.
Bev can demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying planning policy and legislation, as well as an understanding of the planning policy opportunities, constraints and requirements when delivering a development project.
Bev is a confident communicator and has experience of addressing planning committees as well as speaking at conferences.
