I am a solicitor within the dispute resolution department at Paris Smith. Having trained and qualified with another local regional law firm, I moved to Paris Smith in February 2019 in order to focus on a specialism in insolvency & corporate restructuring under Mike Pavitt.
I currently assist on all matters of insolvency and bankruptcy including rights of trustees and liquidators, director’s misfeasance, transactions at an undervalue, fraudulent & wrongful trading and transactions defrauding creditors.
My experience is primarily within the remit of contract, commercial & debt recovery litigation where I take a pragmatic and cost proportionate approach in order to ensure on the best financial outcome for my clients. Whilst it is not always possible to prevent disputes from escalating to the point of proceedings being issued, my strong understanding of the court process allows me to help advise clients as to their available options; which may include alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as mediation or further negotiations.
I hope to transfer those skills gained throughout my prior practice into the world of insolvency to enable me to provide clients with quality technical advice and provide the best course of action when the need to litigate arises.
