Monday 12 October – Cranfield Trust: Holding it together, being an effective leader today

Join Cranfield Trust CEO Amanda Tincknell, for her session on planning for the future and making confident decisions for your charity, in both the short and long term. Amanda will explore how to do the best for your staff, help you understand the pressures and risks they face during this challenging time. This session will help equip you with the skills and resilience to continue to be an effective charity leader in the long term.

Tuesday 13 October – Fundraising: what does it need to grow?

Join our session with Richard Turner, iFundraiser. Richard’s session will cover why non-fundraisers need to understand fundraising, and why this is critical for fundraising growth, especially at this time.

A fundraiser for 30 years, Richard has been a fundraiser for large and small charities including Director of Fundraising for ActionAid UK, Farm-Africa, and Chief Fundraiser for SolarAid, along with consulting experience over 6 years. He was awarded fundraiser of the year by the Institute of Fundraising in 2001.

Richard is currently seminar Director for Philanthropy & Fundraising Europe, training boards and senior teams on the organisational behaviours required for fundraising growth. He is a trustee of SOFII: the Showcase of Fundraising Inspiration and Innovation, which provides free resources on fundraising best practice, and on the Advisory Board for the International Fundraising Congress.

Wednesday 14 October – Working in the new normal

Employment law expert Claire Merritt will take an up to the moment look at the current employment law issues in the ‘new normal’, focusing on flexible working, health and safety and the need to look at organisational structure in the current climate.

Thursday 15 October – Post-Covid marketing and GDPR

As charities look for new supporters and continue fundraising efforts in this difficult time, it’s essential to ensure you are compliant and keep within the scope of the law and GDPR. Join our compliance experts Laura Trapnell and Ryan Mitchell for a session all about marketing to new audiences legally.

Friday 16 October –  Panel session – Planning for the future

We’re ending the week with a panel session, where you can ask questions to all of our experts from the week, plus Louise Hallsworth, Audit and Assurance partner with James Cowper Kreston. The panel will also be giving their thoughts on the next few months, in particular focusing on what charities should have at the top of their agendas.
