George Dale, construction solicitor at Paris Smith attended the Handlebar Café site today to inspect the progress of the build just outside of Winchester.
The project is coming along nicely – thanks to use of modern modular construction methods, the two main buildings can be delivered in four lorry-loads and assembled on site in a matter of days.
The team from Bespoke Modular Developments came on site on Thursday and have already installed half of the main café/kitchen area, with 3.5 out of 4 walls in place. The café’s large window and outside decking enjoys an elevated view over the river Itchen from the old railway embankment, which runs next to the cycle route from Winchester to Southampton.
George Dale said “It is always a pleasure to get on site and see how projects are progressing, as a reminder that the documents I am putting together are allowing clients to get boots on the ground and cranes in the air. The Handlebar Café has been particularly satisfying to watch as the modern modular construction methods mean that this site will go from completed foundations to a fully installed and fitted out building in the space of a few months.
The Handlebar Café hopes to open in July, keep an eye on their website for project updates.
