We are delighted to announce our charity of the year for 2021/22 will be Piam Brown (children’s cancer and haematology) ward at Southampton General Hospital. Piam Brown Ward is the Regional Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Unit based in Southampton Children’s Hospital. Children are referred to the unit from all over Wessex, including Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Surrey, Sussex, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.
Each year our charity partner is selected by staff vote. Previous charities the firm have supported include Solent Mind and Naomi House and Jacksplace. Throughout the year, the staff lead charity committee organise fundraising events for staff including bake sales, virtual quizzes and scavenger hunts. We were thrilled to raise over £3000 last year for our charity partners.
Emily Sadler who heads up the charity committee said; “We are really looking forward to planning fundraising activities for Piam Brown, and hope that this can include some in person events too. It’s great that so many staff members get involved to support our charity of the year; our charity partnerships are incredibly important to the firm.”

Some of the initiatives that Piam Brown needs support with include the play room, which always needs new toys, fundraising for families to have day trips and outings, specialised equipment and research, and patient family and staff wellbeing.
Our charity committee will be planning various fundraising events for the coming months, and we are thrilled to be working with Piam Brown.
