The Paris Smith team, led by Michael Moore advised Nineteen21 Limited (trading as ismybillfair.com) on a cash and media credit investment. The transaction involved the conversion of convertible loan notes; the conversion into equity of two rounds of advances subscription investments; a cash investment provided following a rights issue; and an investment from ITV in the form of media credits of an initial £1.25m with an option to invest a further £1.25m.

The Paris Smith team, led by Jonathon Roy advised Mailock Limited (trading as Beyond Encryption), a market leader in secure email communication and ID verification solutions, in connection with a major minority investment from West Coast Group which was split between equity and convertible loan notes. West Coast Group is a major distributor of global IT brands in the UK and Europe, including Microsoft, Apple, HP/HPE, Lenovo and others. This partnership will enable Beyond Encryption to pursue its ambitious growth strategy.

Paris Smith team, led by corporate partner Richard Atcherley, represented Dolphin Homes Limited, a specialist care provider for adults with learning difficulties, in relation to a £2m debt and equity funding package made by Business Growth Fund (BGF). This follows the initial £3.25m investment made by BGF in 2017. The new funding was provided to finance the build of two new specialist care home facilities in Hampshire which will, when built, give Dolphin Homes 15 care home facilities in the southern region

Paris Smith team, led by corporate partner Michael Moore, advised award winning Gozney Group Limited (Gozney), a designer of innovative fire and stone ovens for home and business use, on provision of funding by an institutional venture capital investor supported by an oversubscribed crowdfunding round. Gozney, with 148% international sales growth over the past 2, were ranked 12th in the Sunday Times Expert Track 100 index.

Paris Smith, led by corporate partner Michael Moore, are proud to have supported MaSa Partners, a US based social impact capital provider that invests patient capital in early-stage, mission-driven companies seeking to shape a better future. MaSa has led two rounds of investment funding in mOm Incubators, a Dyson Global Innovation award winning designer and manufacturer of neonatal portable incubabors which will help put a stop to the thousands of newborn deaths that occur every day due to lack of basic medical equipment.
