You are invited to join us at Lainston House on Thursday, 23 October 2025 for a quick-fire session covering an array of practical and legal tips in light of the ever-increasing challenges to our farming and rural community.

In addition to our own agricultural specialists, we are joined by experts from our local CLA and NFU teams, together with Lloyds Bank.

We are also delighted to welcome Matt Winter from The Yard to share first-hand experience of The Yard’s diversification journey.

Our speakers will each deliver concise ten-minute presentations designed to provide essential, clear and practical tips to consider when navigating the current climate. It is an essential session for clients and advisors alike, including the opportunity to ask questions of our speakers during the questions and answers session.

Please feel free to join us for registration (with teas, coffees and biscuits) from 4:30pm, with a prompt 5pm start.

Our topics are as follows:

  • Setting the current agricultural landscape – Susan Twining (CLA)
  • APR/BPR update – Anthony Nixon (Consultant – Tax and Estate Planning)
  • Case Study: The good, the bad and the ugly – Matt Winter of The Yard
  • Property considerations when considering diversification – Elinor Davis (Senior Associate – Agricultural Land)
  • Grants and funding update – Lucy Charman (CLA)
  • Legislative changes at Companies House to be aware of – Rose McMillan (Solicitor – Corporate)
  • Diversification: insurance, handling data and health & safety – James Prewett (NFU Mutual)
  • UK economy 2025 and beyond – Victoria Read (Lloyds Bank)

We will finish with a questions and answers session, before enjoying the opportunity for drinks, canapes and networking. The event will close at approximately 7:30pm.
