My experience
I am a solicitor in the employment department at Paris Smith, having cumulatively spent a year with the employment team during my training contract with the firm.
I undertake work in contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law, with particular focus on assisting with settlement agreements. This often involves advising on the terms of proposed agreements, the implications of entering into such agreements and, where appropriate, assisting with negotiation. I understand that the settlement agreement process can often be a stressful and uncertain time for those involved. I subsequently aim to provide clear and practical advice throughout each matter, helping clients to understand their available options and make informed decisions, while navigating the process with confidence.
I work closely with senior members of the team on complex and sensitive employment matters, including in respect of discrimination claims and other employment tribunal proceedings.
I am also trained in fulfilling Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) on behalf of employer clients, using specialist software to ensure that requests can be dealt with efficiently and in a time-sensitive manner.’
