My experience
I am a partner in the Commercial Property and Planning Department and have over 20 years’ experience in the retail & leisure sector, heading up the cross department Retail and Leisure team.
My main areas of expertise include:
- development agreements and conditional contracts (commercial, mixed use and residential);
- purchases and disposals on a pure property basis as well as forming part of corporate sales and acquisitions (share & asset) and portfolio transactions;
- options, promotion agreements and overage;
- all aspects of landlord and tenant work;
- portfolio management; and
- franchising – dealing with all property aspects and working alongside the rest of the Franchise team.
As a result, I have a lot of experience in dealing with and advising owners, buyers, sellers, developers, landlords, tenants, franchisors and franchisees, operators, investors and funders. I enjoy dealing with people at all levels, getting to know them, their business, understanding their requirements and helping to achieve their goals.
I am extremely passionate in ensuring that best service is delivered to our clients and I am incredibly fortunate to be supported by a very organised, efficient and personable team which enables us to do this.
Along with the team I am also very proud to have established client relationships with many major retailers, including Co-operative Group, Hobbycraft, along with garden centre operators Hillier Nurseries and Haskins Garden Centres and Halo Accident Repair Centre Limited.
On the leisure side, we act for national holiday park operators, including Bourne Leisure Limited (Haven & Warner Hotels) and Butlins, and for the Gym Group.
We also support the UK wine industry through Wine GB (dealing with acquisitions, lease renewals, options), and have a wide range of experience dealing with restaurants (Angelina London, the Department acts for Stein Trading Limited) public houses, hotels, cafes and hot food delivery companies (including acting for a number of franchisees for Domino’s), ports & marinas and Hampshire Sport & Leisure Holdings Limited.
I am a Deputy Head of the Commercial Property and Planning Department, I lead the Firm’s’ Career Panel, as well as being a Mentor and a Mental Health First Aider
