My experience
I am currently in my second seat of my training contract, which is in the Family Department.
Prior to commencing my training contract, I received a First Class Bachelor of Laws at the University of Southampton and I volunteered as an adviser at the Citizens Advice alongside my degree. I then completed my LPC and Masters in Law (LLM) at the University of Law, receiving a Distinction. I have worked as a Paralegal for over two years collectively in various legal departments including Commercial Property and Catastrophic Personal Injury. I have also been exposed to Corporate and Commercial sectors throughout my time working in-house.
During my time at the Citizens’ Advice, I was required to research and advise many clients on aspects of Family Law. I also completed my Masters in Law report and presentation on a key and evolving area of Family Law on the impact of private law proceedings on children. This is an area I have carried out extensive research on which has given me a great understanding of private law children orders.
I aim to work thoroughly, efficiently and collaboratively on every transaction I work on and look forward to expanding my skill set during the rest of my training contract.
