We are looking for a 3-7 years PQE Residential Property Lawyer or Licenced Conveyancer to join the Property department. Recognised as an “outstanding property team” and a leader in the South of England, our property lawyers have a well-earned reputation for providing sound and pragmatic legal advice across all property matters.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales and purchases
  • HTB and other equity mortgages, HTB ISAs and lifetime ISA’s, HTB mortgage redemptions
  • Leasehold properties, including shared ownership
  • Right to buy transactions
  • Investment properties, including HMOs and purchases by corporate bodies
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • Dealing with unregistered land
  • Dealing with restrictions
  • Probate sales

The Candidate

The successful applicant would ideally possess the following attributes:

  • 3-7 years PQE
  • Experience of working under the CQS scheme and requirements for CQS accreditation
  • Knowledge of SDLT essentials
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Highest level of client care
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a significant workload
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to establish good relationships both in the firm and the local market
