The Family team at Paris Smith are now looking to recruit a 3 to 5 year PQE Solicitor to join in and continue that success
The Role
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work with a Partner with an established reputation in dealing with all aspects of family law; including high net worth matrimonial finance and complex private law children matters in our Southampton team.
The quality of the work enjoyed by this Partner requires exceptional levels of client care, case management, creativity and the ability to understand not only the detail, but also to stand back and take in the bigger picture.
This is a challenging role but one which offers the chance to enjoy quality work and to work with a team who excel in their field.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Initially to provide support to the Partner with their caseload
- To build their own varied caseload
- Take responsibility for managing own time and work, including prioritising and being proactive where appropriate
- Keep up to date with changes in the law
- Strong communication skills with team members
- Recognition and commitment to the importance of meeting time and financial targets
- Actively engage with marketing and business development activity
- Work and behave in a professional manner and to the highest standards of the profession
- Comply with procedures set out in the office manual, professionals standards and with any requirement set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have specialised post qualification experience in family law that will include:
- divorce and separation
- the sharing of high value or complex financial resources following divorce or separation, including trusts, business assets, foreign assets and pensions.
- cohabitation
- pre and post nuptial agreements
- children (private law)
The role will also require the candidate to assist the Partner in their business development activities and experience in this field is desirable.
