What are the benefits of becoming a member?
Webinars
We have hosted webinars (in place of physical events) over the last two years due to the pandemic, covering bite-sized updates on topics most relevant to Forum members, such as:
- employment law issues such as redundancies and furlough leave;
- cash flow disruption and access to funding;
- future proofing, including mergers;
- the move to online – how to protect yourself properly.
Ultimately these sessions are led by what you need. Please email Sandy Waters with your topic ideas and we will do our best to feature them in one of our webinars.
Exclusive ‘Connect’ facility for forum members
Do you have a question you need help with? Connect is a facility where you can raise an issue with knowledgeable and supportive people, all of whom have first-hand knowledge of the third sector.
Connect is simple to use, and completely safe and anonymous; all that is required is that you send your question through to the designated email address connect@parissmith.co.uk and responses will be compiled and sent to you after five working days. For further details please see the Terms and Conditions.
Bi-Annual conference
Our bi-annual charity conference brings together charities to share ideas, learn from each other and our speakers, and network with colleagues at one of the largest charity sector events in our region. Previous keynote speakers have included:
- Lord Hodgson, Creator of the Charity Bill
- Sam Younger, Chief Exec, Charity Commission
- Rob Wilson, Minister for Civil Society
- Stephen Dunmore, Chief Exec, Fundraising Regulator
- Lady Edwina Grosvenor
Due to the pandemic our 2020 conference was hosted via Zoom. We changed the format to have a “Charity Support Week” where every day at the same time for an hour we had a different speaker on chosen subjects, culminating in a panel question and answer session on the Friday. We had over 400 delegates attend during the week.
